Oregonians and others in the northwest will be quick to tell you how rainy January has been. While the rain created big problems for many people, our biggest problem is that it was super muddy at our local park when Lily and I walked there yesterday to play soccer together. It didn't phase us too much. We played soccer anyway and ended up covered in mud, especially Lily who slipped and fell once. She found it horrifying and hilarious at the same time to see how much mud was all over her pink dress (what, doesn't everyone play soccer in their pink dresses?). Thank goodness for a working washing machine.
With all the rain, there were a couple of beautiful days this January that we enjoyed.
First up, a sunny day, early in January. We went out to Mt. Pisgah for a beautiful hike.
We love Mt. Pisgah for its miles of trails...
...stumps and holes to explore...
...it sometimes brings out the silly in us...
...has great places to jump...
... and treasures to find (a little mushroom in one hand and tall grass in the other)...
... sunny days out there are the best...
... with lots of smiles to be had...
... especially when we follow up the hike with ice cream!!
More sunny days please!!
