Go Ducks!

We are so excited for the Natty, er, the National Championship game and can't wait to see the Ducks win and be National Champs in football! What fun!

My college friends and I like to reminisce about the 24 hours we camped out in freezing temps near the Cas Center to earn our tickets to the Rose bowl. That was great, but even then, I'm sure we couldn't have dreamed about a National Championship berth. I know some of you think I've gone overboard, but everything about the season and leading up to the Natty has been just plain awesome!

Lily is definitely a Duck fan!

Lily and I met up with GrandDad and his friends and Uncle Bill for every home game this season. We brought donuts and walked with them to the stadium, where Lily would plead to go into the game too.

One great day - we were able to go to a game too! It was a very rainy day, but Lily loved all the excitement of being at a Duck game - watching people, seeing the Duck, watching the cheerleaders dance, hearing the music, seeing the football players...

She did a pretty good job sitting in the stands in her yellow poncho and took a couple walks around the stadium with GrandDad to get ice cream!
(True Duck fans we are!)

Lily has decided she is the next Duck cheerleader, pom-pom and all:

Mommy and Lily got ready for the game by making duck cookies! We'll be watching the game on TV at home, while Daddy and Uncle Bill and Aunt Ashley are the lucky ones who are going to be there. I'm sure Lily will be looking for them on TV.

We recently took a trip to Autzen stadium on a non-game day and got to run around the tunnels and watch a Nike ad being produced. It was lots of fun, even if the football player in the ad was a little big, according to Lily.
Go Ducks! Win the Day!
