This past week has been one of the most tiring I've had recently, so I don't have a lot in me to put words to this post. Not that it completely matters - there are lots of cute pictures of Lily (and the people who love her) - to make up for it.
Lily recently danced in the year-end dance recital for her dance company, Hosanna Dance. It was a very fulfilling moment to watch, as she certainly grew a lot this year in the dance world. I'm not sure I believed she would be as successful as she was in the last few months, and especially up on stage earlier this month, when I watched her in dance class the first few sessions. Thank goodness for a loving dance teacher (we love Miss Sarah very much!!) and a new friend in Elizabeth, who gave Lily the time she needed to settle in to a structured dance class setting. She loved dance class and had lots of smiles every Wednesday!

And here are a few pictures of the adorable little girls posing. First, with their helper Miss Kelsey. Kelsey was amazing with the gaggle of little girls and they loved her. The first picture shows how I think of this group - all smiles, sweet and silly!
And here they are acting a little more grown up - with their teacher Miss Sarah and Miss Kelsey.
Lily's class ended up being of good size (usually there were seven girls there each night). But, in the beginning it was just two to three girls each night. Lily met a new friend in class, the only other girl who was there from the beginning - Elizabeth and Lily had loads of fun during and after class. Wednesday usually ended up being a late night for us because the girls did not easily stop playing together.
And there are also the girls Lily has known her whole life. Kori, Brooklynn, and Lily were all born in the span of seven months. Their moms and I taught together at the same school. We enjoyed sharing pregnancy ups and downs, but even more have enjoyed sharing time watching the girls' friendships blossom. The three of them danced together in their first dance class last year. Kori and Brooklynn ended up being in a different dance class than Lily this year, but they were still pretty cute together on performance day!

Most of all, Lily had fun in dance this year. She improved in a lot of things and in a lot of ways too, but we are happy she had fun!
